As a result of an internal promotion, we are looking for an experienced Maintenance Store Coordinator to join our Operations team. This role is responsible for the coordination of timely procurement and delivery of manufacturing equipment components at the Dubbo manufacturing facility. Organisation and maintenance of the stores, its inventory, as well as adherence to budget and systems and processes are crucial to this position's success.

As a key member of the maintenance team, this position drives initiatives and improvements, including the setup of stores in our CMMS (MEX). The successful candidate will be systematic, highly organised with excellent attention to detail, and you will be able to pre-empt the requirements of the maintenance team to ensure the smooth operations of the factory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the Engineering stores, purchasing and receiving functions
  • Control all aspects of the stores and its systems
  • Gain prices and parts from supplies to meet deadlines within the department as set by the business
  • Seek opportunities to minimise the number of vendors we deal with on a regular basis
  • Monitor supplier performance and work with vendors to improve performance where necessary
  • Ensure that store information in CMMS system is accurate and up to date
  • Overview factory process and provide QAD support
  • Ensure purchasing procedures are in accordance with RPFC policy
  • Ensure purchasing - receiving process is efficient and cost effective
  • Provision of appropriate and accurate measures for key business drivers on which operational decisions can be based on a timely basis
  • Monitor compliance to supply agreements and seek opportunities to improve purchasing/stores opportunities
  • Research and understand factory purchasing requirements to improve competitive position
  • Monitor the adequacy of factory systems and internal controls, and identification and implementation of system improvements

About you:

  • Previous experience with FMCG company/industrial food production environment preferable.
  • Proven ability to stock control
  • Previous experience in engineering stock control
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and a systematic approach
  • Good written and communication skills
  • Ability to cope with pressure and still deliver results with shifting priorities
  • Ability to negotiate and manage new existing supplier contracts
  • Be customer focused (both internal and external)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deal effectively with people of all levels of the organization
  • Intermediate Excel and experience using purchasing software such as QAD, SAP or similar
  • Computer literate, CMMS knowledge/experience such as MEX
