About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the finance team of a publicly listed, global IT consultancy headquartered in Melbourne. You'll play a key role supporting CPT's financial operations across Australia, North America, Europe, and the UK.
The role supports accounting, reporting, tax, and compliance requirements for CPT Global and its subsidiaries — including multi-entity reporting, project-level analysis, and statutory compliance in an ASX-listed environment.
This hands-on role requires a technically strong, detail-oriented accountant with experience in dynamic, multi-jurisdictional businesses. Prior exposure to listed companies, international audits and compliance, and IT or professional services environments is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-function Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), including multi-entity invoice processing, vendor onboarding and engagement, reconciliations, and reporting across international jurisdictions and time zones
- Group-wide timesheet management, including compliance monitoring and engagement with consultants and internal stakeholders
- Bank and credit card reconciliations, accounting and reporting across multiple currencies and international accounts
- Month-end close support: preparation of journals, accruals, prepayments, payroll validations, financial reporting, cost analysis, and cash flow forecasting
- Support the business with accurate and timely project-level financial control, analysis, and reporting
- Assist with half-year and full-year external audits, and the preparation of statutory and ASX reporting deliverables, including compliance with international audit and financial reporting requirements
- Contribute to internal control improvements, finance system enhancements, and group-wide process documentation and compliance
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and coverage across the broader finance team as required — including payroll, tax compliance and reporting, and systems accounting
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years' accounting experience in public practice and/or industry, with exposure to financial reporting, tax, audit, and compliance
- Experience in an ASX-listed company or group with cross-border operations, international audits and compliance, and consolidation requirements
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office 365, with experience across core systems including Sage Intacct, Salesforce, and Sourcing/AR platforms such as SAP, Coupa, Ariba, and Beeline considered essential
- Background in technology consulting, professional services, or time-based billing models highly desirable
- Hands-on expertise in financial control, end-to-end AP/AR, timesheet governance, cash management, budgeting, forecasting, internal / external reporting, and project reporting
- Experience engaging directly with auditors, banks, vendors, and international advisors
- Solid understanding of foreign currency transactions, international banking platforms, and payroll processes
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting; CA/CPA qualification (or progress toward) strongly preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence working across all organisational levels and jurisdictions
- High attention to detail, sound judgement, and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- A collaborative, solutions-focused team player with a continuous improvement mindset
- Availability to work from our Docklands head office five days per week, with flexibility to accommodate global time zones as needed
Salary range - $77,000 to $79,000 plus superannuation
