Camden South Public School is a large primary school located on the outskirts of South West Sydney, enrolling over 700 students, including approximately 5% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. Selection CriteriaIn addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary, with demonstrated expertise in leading literacy and numeracy initiatives to maximise student growth.
Demonstrates exemplary leadership and management of school plan priorities to drive whole-school improvement, with a proven ability to mentor and develop staff through a visible, collaborative, and inclusive leadership style.
Outstanding interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence with the capacity to enhance positive relationships and collaboration across the whole school community.
Demonstrated expertise in leading and managing whole-school wellbeing initiatives, proactively engaging with staff, parents, and the community to navigate complex wellbeing scenarios and support positive student outcomes.
- Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
- Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
- Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
- Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
- Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
- Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
