Position Information

Founded in a rich heritage of public education, Randwick High School draws strength in its diverse and engaged learning community. Our school serves approximately 1500 students, and celebrates its inclusivity, catering for students of all needs and many cultural backgrounds (including 58% from language backgrounds other than English).

Our teachers provide a wealth of rich learning experiences to engage all students in extending their potential and pursuing their passions. We offer a broad curriculum, energising learners through classroom and co-curricular experiences. The school enjoys a history of strong HSC achievement and rich learning pathways, combining care for students' wellbeing with high academic standards.

Selection Criteria

In addition to the general selection criteria,

1.Demonstrated excellence in communication, along with strong organisational and management capabilities, including the capacity to lead and oversee the complex day-to-day operations of the school.

2.Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, and manage student wellbeing and behaviour programs that enhance wellbeing, engagement, and a positive school culture and community connection.

3.Proven leadership with the capacity to mentor and coach staff, supporting whole-school staff wellbeing in an environment of change and promoting a culture of high expectations and collaborative practice.

4.The ability to initiate and collaborate strategically and systematically to develop creative and innovative solutions at a school and system level.

General Selection Criteria
  1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
  2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
  3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
  4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
  5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
  6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
