Perched on the foothills of Pokolbin in the Hunter Valley, overlooking our historic vineyard, our cellar door is renowned as much for the breathtaking views as much is our award-winning wines and legendary visitor experiences.

A rare opportunity has opened for a highly motivated and experienced individual to take on the role of Cellar Door Manager, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our highly popular "must visit" cellar door .

The ideal candidate will be a natural storyteller, possess exceptional customer service skills and have demonstrable experience in successfully leading a diverse team.

Whilst a passion for wine is highly regarded, a passion for delivering truly unforgettable visitor experiences is essential.

Responsibilities:


• Manage and oversee all aspects of the operation of the cellar door, including staffing requirements, inventory and visitor engagement, with the fundamental goal of ensuring all our guests enjoy a truly world-class, market leading, luxury visitor experience.


• Dynamically contribute to the development and implementation of new experiential products as well as strategies to achieve various sales, marketing and brand development goals.


• Ensuring full engagement and alignment with our DTC and wholesale channels as required.


• Train, inspire and supervise Cellar Door staff, ensuring they provide exceptional customer service, impeccable personal presentation and contribute to our branding and DTC processes.


• Coordinate internally to ensure adequate inventory levels and timely product releases.


• Plan and execute special events, including coordinating closely with Wine Club, bespoke tastings, tours, and other private and corporate events.


• Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and customer feedback – including ensuring attending to marketing and/or DTC requirements.


• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to liquor licensing, employment and workplace health and safety as necessary.

Qualifications and Requirements:


• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a management role within the Wine and/or Hospitality industries.


• Unsurpassed, natural interpersonal skills.


• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.


• A passion for and knowledge of wine, wine production, varietals and regions is preferred, ideally a WSET Level 3 qualification or above, but not essential.


• Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or related field highly regarded


• Proficient in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.


• Prior experience with Commerce7 and/or Rezdy highly desirable.


• Must be able to regularly work weekends and holidays.
