Salary: $70,000 to 80,000 per year (plus superannuation)

Passionate about the hospitality, culinary, and retail industries.

Possessing extensive technical expertise encompassing various cooking methods and cuisines.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities in managing staff during service. Proficient in communication, organisation, and maintaining high grooming standards.

A thorough understanding of kitchen hygiene protocols and occupational health and safety requirements is imperative.

Main responsibilities:

Communicate daily with front of house team, internal customers with daily business events. Conducting quality checks on food items to ensure high standards of quality

Monitoring and regulating temperatures of cooking equipment such as ovens and grills

Preparing and cooking a variety of food dishes

Adding appropriate seasoning to enhance the flavor of cooked food

Portioning food and plating it with complementary gravies, sauces, and garnishes

Safely storing food in designated temperature-controlled facilities

Adhering to special dietary requirements when preparing food

Assisting in menu planning and estimating food quantities needed

Providing training and guidance to other kitchen staff members and apprentices, if required

Preparing, seasoning and cooking food in a dining or catering establishment

Other requirements are:

Work Eligibility: Permitted to work permanently with no restriction on hours (Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident preferred)

Previous experience: At least 2 years working as a Cook

Language: Conversant in English
