Reporting to the Senior Commercial analyst, we have a full-time, permanent opportunity for a Commercial Analyst to join our Liverpool office

The commercial analyst plays a key component in the success of the business by gathering, analysing and interpreting data, to make informed decisions and identifying potential efficiencies in financial reporting and performance.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate and timely sales and financial reports, including variance analysis and actionable insights to stakeholders.

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring alignment with business objectives and accuracy in financial projections.

  • Maintain and update master data in systems (Pronto, TM1, Power BI), ensuring data integrity and accuracy for reporting and analysis whilst driving continuous improvement or data and reporting processes to enhance data quality and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate insights, risks, and recommendations, while supporting analysis needs and aligning with business goals to drive strategic decisions and improvements.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and relevant laws, while maintaining a safety-first approach for staff, customers, and the public.

  • Challenge the status quo, promote best practices, and contribute to business and system improvement projects.

  • Foster a culture of trust, integrity and collaboration within the team and across departments.

  • Demonstrated 3+ years of experience in a Commercial Analyst or similar role.

  • Tertiary Accounting Qualification (bachelor's degree or equivalent) and CPA/CA qualification (or in final stages of completion).

  • Experience with TMI, along with familiarity with Pronto and Power BI is highly advantageous.

  • Strong proficiency in ERP systems and reporting tools, with an understanding of master data and data management abilities.

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and commercial acumen with the ability to create and present reports.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with a focus on time management and delivering accurate, high-quality work.

  • The successful candidate will be required to attend a pre-employment medical examination.
