The Opportunity

Based in Greensborough, we're a growing plumbing contracting company with a reputation for quality work, reliability, and responsive service. We're now seeking a driven and experienced Plumbing Operations Manager to join our leadership team.

In this pivotal role, you'll oversee day-to-day operations of our plumbing division—ensuring efficient job delivery, exceptional client service, and high team performance.

You'll also support the business development function by identifying tender opportunities and assisting with competitive bid preparation.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll lead operational excellence, guide a team of field staff, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to our continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the plumbing field team to deliver works safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
  • Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow planning.
  • Identify tender opportunities and support the preparation of submissions.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Monitor job profitability, labour efficiency, and materials usage.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and industry standards.
  • Support quoting, variations, and invoicing.
  • Collaborate with leadership to achieve financial and operational goals.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop your team.

About You

  • Proven experience in plumbing operations or project management role.
  • Current plumbing licence (mandatory).
  • Strong understanding of compliance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Commercially minded and results-driven.
