About the Role

The Technical Supervisor (plumbing) position forms part of the leadership team and will be a key figure in ensuring the continued success and growth of JNJ.  The role provides expert technical support to our clients, offering advice, solutions, and recommendations for plumbing systems and operations. This role is responsible for supervising plumbing work, guiding plumbers, and ensuring all work meets the highest standards.

Additionally, the Technical Supervisor contributes to estimating and tender preparation, supports project execution, and manages cost variations, with a focus on identifying opportunities to expand services for assigned clients

Key Responsibilities

o    Primary technical contact for assigned clients, offering practical solutions, recommendations, and troubleshooting

o    Supervise and complete plumbing projects safely, within budget, on schedule and in accordance with quality standards.

o    Prepare plumbing estimates, ensuring pricing is competitive and profitable.

o    Monitor job costs and track project finances, including variations.

o    Support the tendering process by providing, pricing, and technical input.

o    Identify opportunities to provide additional services to clients.

o    Provide technical support to plumbers, helping resolve any work issues.

o    Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers.

o    Contribute to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across the team.

o    To be available to work on-call, one week in every eight (8) weeks.

About You

We're looking for a licensed plumber (mandatory requirement) with a minimum of 15 years of experience in service and maintenance, including a strong background in supervising teams and working with commercial, government, or infrastructure clients.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • In-depth understanding of plumbing systems and project management methodologies.
  • Strong attention to detail and decision-making skills, even under tight time constraints.
  • The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and maintain professionalism with clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information clearly.
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on fostering a positive workplace culture
  • Experience with Simpro (preferred but not mandatory).
  • A current driver's license
