We're on the hunt for an energetic and motivated Team Leader with 1–2 years' experience in a similar role, ready to bring passion, leadership, and great vibes to our team at our bustling café in Port Macquarie. Enjoy the lively pace of our café, no matter the season

About the Role

As a Café Team Leader, you'll lead by example with a genuine passion for coffee and exceptional service. You'll guide and motivate the team to serve customers efficiently, uphold high standards, and ensure all food safety guidelines are met.

You will be responsible for:

  • Being the team member in charge of the store in the absence of the Store Manager.

  • Opening and / or closing of the store.

  • Undertaking daily banking duties.

  • Supervise team members and delegate tasks where appropriate and necessary.

  • Undertaking adhoc tasks such as stock ordering, administration, and rostering when delegated to do so.

  • Training team members in store processes and procedures.

  • Actively coaching others in achieving our café's standards.

  • Reporting and communicating necessary information and feedback to the Store Manager regarding any and all aspects of store operations.

  • Serving all customers in a timely, efficient, and courteous manner.

  • Handling all monies and payments according to procedure and guidelines.

  • Keeping all work areas (interior and exterior) clean and tidy at all times.

  • Complying with all workplace health and safety processes, guidelines, and best practice.

The Successful Candidate

· At least 2 years' experience in a café or fast food environment within a team leader / shift supervisor role

· Knowledge of busy food outlet operations with a focus on sales and service

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Flexibility with work hours
