About us

Margalit Injury Lawyers is a leading personal injury law firm who are committed to providing the highest quality legal advice to clients. Due to continued growth and success of the business, they are seeking a Graduate Lawyer to join the practice based in Bentleigh. This is a full-time role, supporting our Principal Solicitor.

About the role

You will play an integral role within the team in supporting the Principal Solicitor in all matters related to Workcover, TAC and Public Liability.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Working within our established team on personal injury matters;

  • Preparing first draft of correspondence, Court documents and other legal documents under supervision;

  • Being the first point of contact for clients, third parties and Barristers;

  • Conducting legal research and preparing internal notes or notes for clients on legal developments;

  • Liaising with other senior lawyers, counsel and external experts as required;

  • Attending court, dispute resolution and settlements; and

  • Responding to client queries and with a principal lawyer managing the client relationship.

About you

  • Successful completion of a law degree;

  • Some relevant experience within the field would be highly regarded;

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and advocacy skills;

  • High level of professionalism and client service orientation;

  • The ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment; and

  • Well-developed empathy and listening skills.
