Type: Permanent Full-Time
Hours: Monday – Friday (with flexibility for peak periods) Team Global Express is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Support professional to join our Townsville team. This is a vital role supporting the Operations Leadership Team to ensure compliance, efficiency, and excellent customer service across Intermodal and Specialised & operations. What You'll Do:
  • Ensure timely completion of NHVAS compliance activities and reporting
  • Support DIFOT performance by managing appointment schedules, reviewing consignments, and liaising with ports and supervisors
  • Complete key end-of-day tasks, including return container bookings, urgent customer and driver queries, and email monitoring
  • Manage equipment maintenance schedules and defect repairs with urgency to minimise downtime
  • Maintain customer portals to ensure accurate documentation and delivery schedules
  • Monitor MDT compliance daily and escalate non-compliance issues as required
  • Provide relief support for Train Wire debriefs when needed
  • Partner with the FCL Supervisor to ensure smooth and efficient freight operations
  • Liaise with customers to resolve quires, provide updates and ensure a positive service experience
  • Carry out general administrative tasks and data entry to support daily freight operations

What You'll Bring:

  • Strong customer service focus with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
  • Proven time management and prioritisation skills
  • Previous experience in freight, logistics, or administration (highly regarded)
  • Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
