What you will be working on

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Site Supervisor will oversee onsite project teams and manage the daily coordination of crews to ensure that NNWMC are meeting the technical, safety and quality standards set by our clients. You will be responsible for a variety of multiple small scale civil and earthworks projects including the planning and allocation of labour, scheduling and organisation of materials and equipment to support project delivery.

  • Lead and manage on-site project teams, ensuring daily operations run safely and efficiently
  • Organise and allocate materials, plant, and equipment to support earthworks and civil projects
  • Ensure all documentation and reporting for projects is accurate and up to date
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact project progress or quality
  • Liaise with the Operations Manager and project stakeholders to provide regular updates including milestones, challenges, and risks
  • Foster positive working relationships with contractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.
  • Coordinate and supervise crews to ensure NWMC meet project deadlines and client's quality standards

What type of Person will be successful

  • Demonstrated background in a similar role with practical and hands on industry experience.
  • Proven track record of successfully overseeing civil or earthworks projects with the ability to supervise and manage various work crews simultaneously
  • Experience in coordination of scheduling and allocation of labour, plant, equipment and materials for all projects.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, and Excel for daily reporting and communication.
  • Experience and familiarity with Rio Tinto project requirements and standards is desirable.
  • Ability to deliver clear instructions, motivate the team and fostering a safety driven team culture
