Position:

Mancala have successfully won a 2 year project in Zambia and are the lookout for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team onsite. This is a great opportunity for someone with or wanting overseas experience in the mining industry.

Reporting to the Project Manager you will have a lead role in effectively managing your team in order to maximise availability and capability of site equipment.

Responsible for the safety of personnel, promoting continuous improvement, building team work and profitability of the repair, maintenance and rebuild of Mancala's plant and equipment. It will entail supervising a group of personnel who are involved in all areas of repair and maintenance as well as liaison with various internal and external personal, clients and suppliers.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

·       Manage, coordinate and responsible for company internal equipment fleet, implement and utilize maintenance strategy's to increase mechanical availability and reduce overall running costs.

·       Implement strategies and processes through gap analysis to bring the Mancala equipment up to recognized national standards, develop and maintain new initiatives regarding state regularity equipment compliances.

·       Manage equipment availability through planning, personnel and system process

·       Control usage of Mancala assets, including but not limited to company vehicles and tooling.

·       Ensure  all reporting staff movements throughout the day, process time sheets and expense related items.

·       Budget, follow through and be accountable for the costs of each repair or rebuild of Mancala's assets in conjunction with the Project Manager

·       Review all purchase order requests before the purchase order is raised in-line with the purchasing policy

·       Budget all costs in-line with the purchasing policy

·       Manage and coordinate processes, schedules, claim sheets and assist with end of month reconciliation in conjunction with the Project Manager.

·       Accountable for ensuring  all safety related issues including but not limited to, inductions, mandatory PPE is being worn, work place housekeeping and follow thru with disciplinary action if/when required.

Requirements:

·       Minimum ten (10) years' experience in the repair and maintenance of mining equipment

·       Minimum four (4) years in supervision/management of a workforce

·       Basic/Intermediate knowledge on Microsoft Office programs

  • Basic/Intermediate knowledge of an Accounting software program (preferably Pronto)
