The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Family Law Legal Assistant to join our dynamic team based in our Brisbane CBD office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional eager to support a leading family law practice and contribute to a collaborative environment. You will work directly with Jitesh assisting in case preparation, client liaison, and legal documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support family law practitioners in drafting legal correspondence, affidavits, and court/legal documents.
  • Attend client meetings and assist in preparing case files and summaries.
  • Manage client records, diary schedules, and court deadlines.
  • Manage files and correspondence with care and precision.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, stakeholders, and external agencies.
  • Assist with legal research and case preparation, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
  • Provide admin support to solicitors to keep everything running smoothly.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a legal environment, preferably in family law or related areas.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence in liaising with clients.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in legal practice management software; experience with family law cases is advantageous.
  • Strong research, drafting, and document preparation skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused attitude with professionalism and empathy.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
  • Fluency in another language, especially those spoken by diverse client backgrounds, is highly regarded.
  • A people person who genuinely cares about clients.
