The Role

As a WeCare GP, you'll work at the top of your scope in a truly collaborative team environment. You'll bring your expertise to general consultations and acute care clinics, supported by Registered and Enrolled Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Prescribers, Physician Associates, and fellow GPs.

Your journey in New Zealand will begin with 12–18 months of supervised practice (as per MCNZ requirements), before progressing to Full Vocational Registration. Throughout, you'll be backed by supportive supervisors, modern facilities, and an organisation designed for growth.

We ask that you:

  • Hold a recognised GP qualification (MRCGP, FRACGP/FACRRM, ABFM, MMed Fam Med, or MCNZ-recognised equivalent).
  • Have at least 4 years' vocational GP/family medicine training and practice post-medical school.
  • Show recency of practice (within the last 3 years).
  • Commit to ongoing CPD and participate in 1 weekend roster every 4 weeks.
