We are committed to the pursuit of social justice. We are currently seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join our dedicated and experienced Brisbane CBD team on a full-time, permanentbasis. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced plaintiff or defendant insurance solicitor who is looking to take the next step in their career, building a legacy towards legal leadership within the firm.

The Responsibilities

  • Competently assist/manage and progress a volume of Personal Injury matters, including but not limited to mainly workers' compensation, CTP and public liability matters.
  • Draft legal documents in a concise and effective manner.
  • Interpret legal advice to each client's particular case to suit their level of understanding.
  • Be commercially responsible and fiscally aware in relation to running files.
  • Effectively assess claims including liability and quantum.
  • Develop and maintain strong professional working relationships with clients, including effective and regular communication and managing the client's expectations.
  • Take an active role in working with and mentoring junior staff.

The Skills

  • Post-admission experience resolving plaintiff or defendant personal injury claims will make your application competitive.
  • Current practising certificate, or the ability to apply for one.
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask, across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience drafting legal documentation with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong relationship building skills and experience working in a team.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on empathy.
