ABOUT THE ROLE:

Reporting to an entrepreneurial and highly influential Group Tax & Accounting Manager, this Accounts Officer will support the delivery of major finance objectives as the organisation aims to continue its aggressive growth journey.

This role will assist with the processing and reporting of Cash, Accounts Payable and Fixed assets for all entities in the Group in an accurate and timely manner and in compliance with all company policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Group Tax & Accounting Manager and working closely with senior management, your key responsibilities as the Accounts Officer will include:

  • Performing basic and routine parts of the Accounts Payable for all entities in the Group including:

  • Timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices in line with company policies including appropriate matching to purchase orders and proof of receipts, allocating purchases and expenses approval within the Delegation of Authority framework, and recording purchases and expenses (both capital and operating expenditures) to the correct accounts code.

  • Timely and accurate processing of employee expense claims and credit card and cash reimbursements in line with company policies including matching expenses to receipts, allocating approval of costs within the Delegation of Authority framework and recording to appropriate expense codes.
  • Supplier statements reconciliation

  • Manage the Accounts inbox and ensure all emails are addressed appropriately.

  • Distribute corporate card statements, review corporate card status, ensure there are no overdue amounts and monitor employees' timely liquidation of corporate card expenses
  • Assist with month end accounting procedures (prepare accrual list; prepayment amortisation; reconcile AP, GRNI, review fixed assets suspense accounts, capitalise fixed assets, prepayments and investigate any deviation) and with the production of reports as required.
  • Make system entries and extract statistical data and reports from records for analysis.
  • Maintain AP documents processed for ready access and producing various reports according to operating procedures; answer departmental manager, supplier and purchaser inquiries and other AP jobs.
  • Assisting in the half year and year end process including providing assistance for the external audit/review process and preparation of the half year and annual reports.
  • Performing general accounting and office administration duties.
  • Assist in D365 related projects
  • Other finance related and other administrative duties as may be deemed necessary by the manager.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong organisational, administration and procedural skills
  • An accounting degree
  • Growing knowledge of the organisation's accounting procedures related to work performed
  • Understanding of spread sheets, data analysis and reconciliation procedures.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience would be an advantage
  • Multinational company experience would be an advantage
