2Easy Freight, a leading logistics and freight management company, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Officer / First Aid Officer to join our Stapylton team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our operations maintain the highest standards of workplace health and safety in compliance with Australian WHS legislation.
Key Responsibilities and KPIs
- Develop, implement, and monitor workplace health and safety (WHS) policies and programs in full compliance with Australian WHS legislation — 100% compliance at all times.
- Conduct monthly workplace inspections and risk assessments, ensuring all identified hazards are actioned within 7 business days.
- Provide accurate and timely WHS advice to management and staff to maintain safe work procedures and compliance — zero major non-conformances during audits.
- Investigate all incidents and near-misses within 24 hours, prepare detailed reports, and implement corrective actions within 5 business days.
- Deliver quarterly safety training and emergency procedure sessions, achieving 100% participation from relevant staff.
- Maintain effective communication with regulatory authorities, ensuring all company obligations are met without penalties or delays.
- Maintain accurate WHS records, including incident logs, safety audits, and corrective action reports — no overdue documentation.
- Promote a strong safety culture through continuous improvement initiatives, targeting a 10% annual reduction in incidents and near-misses.
- Lead or contribute to at least two safety improvement projects per year that enhance operational safety or compliance standards.
- Serve as the First Aid Officer, ensuring first aid supplies and emergency response equipment are maintained in optimal condition at all times.

Requirements
- Certificate in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent qualification).
- Certified First Aid and CPR training (current).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a WHS or safety-related role within a warehouse, transport, or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management, and safety auditing.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and reporting skills.
- Proven ability to train, engage, and motivate staff to uphold safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
