Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Packaging Machinery Service Engineer based in Dandenong South, VIC,
but occasional overnight travel to regional Victoria will be required. There may also be opportunities for interstate and overseas travel to assist with installations, commissioning, and factory training at our suppliers.
The Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of packaging machinery. Daily tasks will include conducting diagnostics to resolve technical issues, performing routine and preventative maintenance, and providing training to clients on equipment operation.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Electrical / Electronic Trade Certificate III OR Disconnect-Reconnect Certificate OR Appliance OR Mechanical Trade background OR Comparable experience on electrical/ mechanical equipment
  • 2+ years' post-trade experience and proven competency in a similar position.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to metro and regional client sites
  • Capacity to effectively service our range of packaging and filling equipment.
  • Exposure to delivering product training for a variety of end users.
  • Experience with technical documentation and diagrams, comprehending technical problems presented by customers, and providing effective solutions.
  • Well versed in effectively articulating company and product information to our customers.
  • Working with the tools at hand to complete customer quotations.
  • Proficient in various computer software, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Adaptability and readiness to handle multiple, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer focus, problem solving, communication, organisational, and task management skills.
  • Team player with a positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Current Unrestricted Driver's License.
