Position Overview:

As a Flexographic Plate Mounter at Filton Packaging, your primary responsibility is to execute the mounting of printing plates on flexographic printing presses, contributing to the production of precise and visually appealing designs on flexible packaging materials. Your meticulous attention to detail, technical proficiency, and commitment to quality are crucial for the seamless production of our packaging products.

Responsibilities:

Plate Mounting Operations: Execute the mounting of printing plates on flexographic printing presses to ensure accurate and high-quality designs on flexible packaging materials including cleaning / stripping

Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on printed materials to verify colour accuracy, print clarity, and overall print quality, ensuring adherence to customer specifications.

Maintenance Support: Assist with routine maintenance tasks on printing machines, including cleaning and changing plates, to ensure optimal machine performance.

Production Support: Collaborate with the Printing Team Leader and other team members to meet daily production targets and contribute to an efficient workflow.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a secure work environment. Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.

Documentation: Record production data, material specifications, and adjustments made during the printing process for accurate production reporting.

Problem-Solving: Assist in identifying and troubleshooting issues related to the printing process, supporting corrective actions to minimise downtime.

Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives, offering valuable input to enhance production efficiency and print quality.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certifications in printing or related fields are advantageous.

Previous experience in a flexographic printing or manufacturing environment is preferred, but not mandatory.

Basic understanding of operating and adjusting flexographic printing presses for accurate and consistent prints.

Knowledge of colour management and print quality control techniques is a plus.

Mechanical aptitude and the ability to use hand tools for equipment adjustments and minor repairs.

Follow instructions, quality standards, and safety guidelines to produce precise prints on flexible packaging materials.

Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move materials, and perform physically demanding tasks.

Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve production goals and maintain a positive work environment.

Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing production requirements.

Comply with safety rules and regulations, prioritise safety in all tasks, and report any safety concerns promptly.

Demonstrate a strong work ethic, attendance, and punctuality.
