We are currently looking for entry level Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to work casually 5 -10hrs p/wk (with the possibility to increase hours), in our Aquatic Therapy Program, providing services to children of all the ages and abilities including Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Neurological Disorders, and Developmental Delays. We are looking for a therapist to join our team. Aquatic Therapy training will be provided. The successful applicant will be required to partake in training sessions in the water prior to employment.
As an Aquatic Occupational therapist / Physiotherapist at AquaHeart Aquatic Therapy, you'll have the responsibility of:
- Providing water-based support to individuals of all abilities
- Collaboratively working with families and team members regarding intervention techniques
- Teaching specific skills in accordance with the goals, objectives and strategies identified in their intervention plan
- Timely and accurate maintenance of paperwork and documentation for each client.
- Writing NDIS reports.
About you:
- Bachelor or Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy
- Current AHPRA registration
- New graduates welcome to apply. However, experience working with children required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Personal integrity and commitment to providing client centred services
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport easily with both children, parents and health professionals
- Commitment to building genuine long term professional relationships with clients
- A fun, energetic, and playful approach to working with children
- No aquatic therapy experience required, however a love of the water and ability to swim and get your hair wet is a must

- Palm Beach Aquatic Centre -Tuesdays 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm
