Probity Advisor

We are actively seeking
an experienced Manager to provide consultancy services to Government - focussing on probity advice and assurance for procurements, investments, grants and projects
with National-level influence.

Working directly with senior executives, boards and regulators, we help shape decisions in procurement, recruitment, capital works and other high impact areas. As well as compliance, we incorporate probity principles into strategy from the beginning of transactions, projects and functions – designing frameworks, guiding decision-makers and building organisational capability.

As a
Manager - Probity Advisor
you will have the opportunity to work in a role that has independence, agility, and where deep client relationships come first. You'll bring a strong proficiency in probity principles, and your technical depth will enable you to confidently engage with senior levels to guide complex decisions.

Beyond projects, you will have an interest in supporting the development of team members, strengthening client relationships, and support strategies that deliver sustainable impact. While this role may operate independently, your style is collaborative, and you bring commercial awareness.

About You

You are a Managing Consultant with a
solid foundation in probity and governance,
focussed
on
strategic planning and delivery
.
You can provide real-time guidance on significant transactions and projects, support risk identification, document decisions and can manage conflicts of interests in high-security or confidential environments.

You have a proven track record of delivering outcomes on complex, high-value, high-risks projects and take ownership of developing and applying probity frameworks that strengthen transparency and accountability. Your practical approach and attention to detail ensures the successful delivery of comprehensive probity plans, reports, advice and assurance statements.

Your skills and experience include:

• 6+ years of experience in probity, governance, compliance, investigations or audit environments
• An undergraduate or post graduate degree (Commerce or Finance desirable, all degrees considered)
• Professional qualifications in areas such as governance, audit or procurement
• Experience working with the Commonwealth government sector – a sound understanding of public sector probity obligations
• Strong knowledge of probity principles and their practical application
• Proven ability to design and implement probity frameworks, policies and tools that improve governance and assurance
• Confident analytical and advisory skills - ability to ask the right questions, offer clear practical solutions and navigate complex, ambiguous situations
• Excellent writing and presentation skills – preparation of concise, defensible and actionable probity documentation, reports and advice
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills - ability to navigate sensitive discussions and build trusted relationships with professionalism
• Collaborative working style, contribute to a positive team culture and strong working relationships across clients and your colleagues
• Hold a current
  AGSVA NV1
  (minimum) security clearance
