The role
This is a unique opportunity to join the ABC on a part-time ongoing basis, with the option of a flexible work location.

The ABC receives FOI requests seeking access to documents that may be held by the ABC. The FOI Coordinator reports to the Senior FOI Officer and provides high-level support in a tight knit team.

Tasks include end-to-end file management, assisting with legal research, regulatory reporting requirements, redacting and organising documents, drafting and proofreading correspondence, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and ad hoc tasks.

About You
You will have highly developed administrative and organisational abilities, with experience in a legal, regulatory, or a government environment an advantage.

You will be an effective multi-tasker with a proactive work approach and an ability to meet multiple overlapping deadlines whilst maintaining a customer service ethos.

To Be Successful In This Role You Will

  • be accomplished at planning, prioritising and managing competing tasks and deadlines.
  • have demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to establish and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders whilst maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • be proficient in using and learning technology and systems, with a high attention to detail.
  • have demonstrated ability to apply established criteria to the management of a high volume of information. Identifying process efficiencies, is an advantage.
  • show initiative and analytical skills, with experience in legal and general research an advantage.
  • share responsibilities with another FOI Coordinator whilst seeing through your allocated tasks beginning to end.

Key Accountabilities Include

  • Create, organise and maintain files in accordance with file management procedure, including use of electronic filing systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Under the guidance of the relevant FOI Officer, review, file and organise various documents. Redact exempt documents as directed.
  • Draft clear, accurate correspondence under direction and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain a database of incoming FOI requests, diarise and monitor deadlines.
  • Provide all necessary administrative support including diary and meeting management, processing invoices, tracking expenditure, creating reports or briefs, and ad hoc duties.

There is the option of a flexible work environment, which includes working from home some days.
