About the role

Balmain Care For Kids' is seeking passionate an experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our dynamic and dedicated team (Certificate 3 or Diploma qualification). We pride ourselves on creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports children's growth, learning, and wellbeing. Our dedicated team is committed to fostering positive relationships with children, families, and the wider community. As an Educator, you will play a crucial role in shaping the lives of young children through high-quality early childhood education and care, alongside other educators. This is a full-time opportunity based in our Balmain, NSW location.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assisting in planning, implementing, and evaluating developmentally appropriate programs that support children's physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development
  • Supervising and engaging children in indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment
  • Observing and recording children's behaviour, learning, and progress, and reporting observations to senior educators
  • Assisting with daily routines such as meals, rest times, hygiene, and transitions
  • Helping children develop positive self-esteem, confidence, and social interaction skills
  • Maintaining effective communication with parents, guardians, and colleagues, and fostering strong partnerships with families
  • Ensuring compliance with service policies, National Quality Standards (NQS), and health and safety regulations
  • Supporting inclusion and diversity, and promoting respect and empathy among children

Skills & Experience

  • Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent recognised qualification) is preferred
  • Previous experience working with children in an early childhood or school-aged care setting desirable
  • Sound understanding of child development and age-appropriate practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis management certifications preferred
