About the role

Full time Psychologist role available, working from home alternate weeks with a one week in two requirement to deliver face to face services in remote Aboriginal Communities in Far North Queensland (Aurukun one week in 4 and Port Douglas one week in 4).

This unique opportunity to improve Aboriginal mental health outcomes will see you providing high quality psychological care and counselling services within a cross-cultural setting, in a hybrid model of care. You will be well supported by our multidisciplinary team whilst working from home, and on the ground in the Community.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and developing tailored treatment plans
  • Providing Psychological therapy using evidence-based psychological approaches
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, holistic care
  • Maintaining detailed client records and preparing reports as required
  • Continuously updating your professional knowledge and skills
  • Contributing to the growth and development of our psychology practice

What we're looking for

  • Fully registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • At least 3 years' post-registration experience in a psychologist role
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with clients
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to provide insightful treatment
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience in D&A counselling
