About the role
Full time Psychologist role available, working from home alternate weeks with a one week in two requirement to deliver face to face services in remote Aboriginal Communities in Far North Queensland (Aurukun one week in 4 and Port Douglas one week in 4).
This unique opportunity to improve Aboriginal mental health outcomes will see you providing high quality psychological care and counselling services within a cross-cultural setting, in a hybrid model of care. You will be well supported by our multidisciplinary team whilst working from home, and on the ground in the Community.
What you'll be doing
- Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and developing tailored treatment plans
- Providing Psychological therapy using evidence-based psychological approaches
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, holistic care
- Maintaining detailed client records and preparing reports as required
- Continuously updating your professional knowledge and skills
- Contributing to the growth and development of our psychology practice
What we're looking for
- Fully registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- At least 3 years' post-registration experience in a psychologist role
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with clients
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to provide insightful treatment
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in D&A counselling
