Property & Position

With a focus on high value merino wool, lamb fattening and broadacre cropping, this mixed farm operation covers an extensive parcel of highly productive land in the Hilltops district. The properties sheep enterprise incorporates self-replacing Merino and Composite ewes. 

Your day-to-day focus will be working as a key member of the livestock team. Whilst you will not directly be involved in the cropping operation, the ability to turn your hand to more general tasks which include fencing, and R&M is desirable.

Responsibilities

For your daily autonomy and to provide you with more control, you must have extensive experience and be competent and physically capable in all aspects of: 

  • Livestock husbandry, animal health & maintaining accurate livestock records
  • Non-livestock tasks i.e. fencing, welding, R&M
  • Property maintenance and improvement
  • Machinery operations, chemical application, machinery maintenance & repairs

Requirements

  • A strong work ethic, with the ability to work unsupervised and show initiative
  • Reliable and accountable with a willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills & respect to all coworkers
  • Own working dogs (preferred)
  • Heavy Vehicle Driver's License (or willingness to obtain)
