Telehealth - TGA Authorized Dr Prescriber Medical Cannabis

About the role

Acacia-Medical seeks experienced Telehealth Doctors ideally TGA Authorized Prescribers. Join our team on a contract basis, training can be provided. In this role, you will provide high-quality, remote Medical Cannabis advice and eScripts to chronic disease patients Australia wide. The position offers the flexibility of working from home from any location in Australia with high speed internet and good networks. What you'll be doing

• Conduct thorough Telehealth medical consultations with patients to assess, diagnose, and develop appropriate treatment plans for chronic disease patients needing medical cannabis. Safe scripts where patient lives and state where pharmacy is located and My Health record needs to be checked for risks
• Prescribe medical cannabis and recommend further treatment as needed
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers like patient's GP or psychiatrist to ensure seamless, holistic patient care
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in accordance with Aphra and TGA medical and legal regulations
• Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices to provide excellent patient care in medical cannabis

What we're looking for

• Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner + TGA Authorized Prescriber, ideally General Practitioner but medical cannabis training can be provided
• Demonstrated expertise in telehealth Medical Cannabis and remote patient care with a range of medical cannabis medicines, Acacia is brand agnostic with focus on better quality effective medical cannabis
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with patients
• Strong time management and organizational abilities to efficiently manage a high volume of patients
• Commitment to providing the highest standard of ethical and compassionate care
• Ideally Minimum 2 years experience as a registered medical practitioner in Australia
• Reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps download/5 Mbps upload) and proficiency with telehealth platforms including video consultation software
• Ability to obtain and maintain relevant background checks AHPRA, TGA, RACGP etc
• Current professional indemnity insurance appropriate for Telehealth practice in medical cannabis
• Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner in medical cannabis. TGA Authorized Prescriber status preferred but not essential as training and support for application will be provided
