Casual Cook - Firehouse Hotel

The Firehouse Hotel is located in the heart of North Sydney, this 1895 heritage listed fire station has been remodelled into a reputable and stylish two-level venue.

About the role

Firehouse Hotel, North Sydney is looking for a dedicated and experienced cook to join our kitchen brigade. We after someone with full working rights, and be experienced on fryers, grill, larder and burgers. This position will also require some washing dishes and maintaining a strict OH & S procedure. Shifts will vary between lunch and dinner throughout the week. and possibly 1 shift on the weekend. MUST have flexible availability and able to work 24+ hours per week.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Preparing and cooking meals to a high standard, following recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Assisting with food prep, stock rotation.
  • In the kitchen-hand role you will assist chefs with food preparation, keep the kitchen clean and organised, operate dishwashers, and ensure cookware and utensils are ready for service
