We're looking for a passionate and reliable Cook to join our friendly childcare centre for a 2-month role. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys preparing healthy, nutritious meals for children in a supportive environment.

You'll be the heart of our kitchen, preparing one main lunch meal and three small meals/snacks each day for up to 180 children – with the support of a dedicated kitchen hand to help you keep things running smoothly. If you love working in a fast-paced kitchen with a purpose, this role is for you

About the Role:

  • Casual position for 2 months
  • Prepare and serve 1 nutritious lunch meal and 3 small meals/snacks daily for 180 children
  • Work alongside a kitchen hand for daily support
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment in line with NSW Food Safety and Childcare Regulations
  • Collaborate with educators to support children's dietary requirements

About You:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen (childcare, schools, or large-scale catering desirable)
  • Knowledge of NSW food safety, hygiene, and childcare kitchen regulations
  • Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Ability to work efficiently and stay organised in a busy kitchen
  • A passion for cooking healthy meals for children
  • Flexibility and a positive, can-do attitude
