What you'll do

  • Lead the development of a cyber security engagement and change program to address information security challenges and meet the needs of the Department of Health and Hospital and Health Services.
  • Lead cyber awareness engagements and operational practice improvements with senior leaders in key roles, data and system owners, clinicians and service directors and managers.
  • Manage the day to day coordination, advice and support requirements of a virtual team of Cyber Security Ambassadors across Queensland Health comprised of clinicians, senior leaders and administrative staff.
  • Use expert judgement to balance planned initiatives with competing priorities that require adaptive program management and responsive delivery in response to key risks, issues and emergent business needs that arise in a volatile and permissive cyber security threat environment
  • Proactively partner with key subject matter experts in the co-design and delivery of joint culture and awareness outcomes that support cyber security, fraud awareness, privacy, service continuity and ethics domains to support customer experience and broader business resilience culture
  • Use expert facilitation skills to manage and coordinate grass-roots cyber ambassadors to address key health system cyber security culture improvements in partnership with HHS leadership to foster system-mindedness and local issue resolution.
  • Deliver briefings and awareness initiatives on the request of HHSs and department divisions to leadership teams, subject matter experts and frontline workers.

About you

We are searching for someone who has:

  • Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of cybersecurity awareness (or similar) in a large, complex and geographically dispersed service delivery organisation.
  • Demonstrated broad knowledge and understanding of the major trends, strategic directions and legislative and governance frameworks related to information security, with the capacity to successfully adopt them in the healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: Information, Security, Training, Cultural Change, Communication, Security Governance, Management, Incident Management.
  • Highly developed research, analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills including the proven capacity to initiate appropriate strategic and operational responses to key issues affecting the enterprise.
  • Demonstrated highly developed writing, interpersonal, presentation and consultation skills, with the ability to negotiate, influence and maintain effective relationships with senior and multi-disciplinary staff across networks and organisations.
