About Riverside Oaks Golf Resort
All staff at Riverside Oaks Golf Resort are involved in maintaining 2, top 100 rated Golf courses to the highest standard and the successful applicant will be an integral part of the redevelopment. This position will have seasonal overtime and unique learning opportunities to develop a broad range of skills.
Located just over an hour's drive from Sydney's CBD Riverside Oaks Golf Resort is set on 587 acres of natural Australian bushland bordering the Hawkesbury River and Cattai National Park. Riverside Oaks boasts one of the best practice facilities in Sydney, a 36-hole golf resort with 2 championship golf courses, Accommodation and magnificent dining and function facilities.
The salary package is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities for the role of Maintenance Supervisor:
- Facility Maintenance and Repair: Oversee maintenance, repair, and improvement of resort facilities, clubhouses, kitchen, accommodations, recreational areas and assist golf course grounds,
- Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all machinery, HVAC systems, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Budget Management: Prepare, monitor, and control the maintenance budget, including expenses for repairs, upgrades, and staff requirements.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance practices align with health and safety regulations. Conduct regular inspections and address any hazards.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for major repairs, renovations, and specialized services.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of necessary tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring timely restocking and reducing downtime.
- Staff Management and Training: Recruit, train, and supervise maintenance team members, fostering a culture of safety and teamwork.
- Energy and Water Efficiency: Implement strategies to reduce energy and water usage across the resort, optimizing costs and promoting sustainability.
Key Requirements for the role of Maintenance Supervisor:
- Experience: Proven experience in facilities or maintenance management, preferably within the hospitality or resort industry. Familiarity with golf course maintenance is a strong asset.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems. Knowledge of irrigation systems is beneficial.
- Current NSW Electrical license (Preferred but not essential)
- Leadership and Management: Strong leadership skills to work with a diverse team effectively, with the ability to delegate tasks and ensure accountability.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently and make quick, informed decisions in emergency situations.
- Budgeting and Financial Management: Experience in budgeting and cost management to maintain efficient operations within financial constraints.
- Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of local health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to work effectively with resort management, staff, and external vendors.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to handle the physical demands of maintenance work, including lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
- Availability: Flexibility to work on weekends, holidays, and during peak seasons as needed
