**About the role

The purpose of this role is to function as a member of the team in the provision of sterilisation services under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse/Midwife. Additionally, this role will support the Registered Nurse/Midwife in overseeing sterile supply workflow, and optimising resource utilisation within the CSU using the T-Doc Sterile Supply Management System.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses, and Midwives (Queensland Health Award Generic Level Statements Nurse Grade 1 Band 2 and the Queensland Health and Metro North Health's commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.

Assist in the provision of nursing and midwifery team support and for delegated actions in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Decision Making Framework.

Function in accordance with legislation when undertaking activities as delegated to provide an environment and care that is safe and relevant for individuals and groups.

Contribute to the effective coordination of sterilisation services for the Central Sterilising Unit in the provision of safe quality care.
