Allied Credit is a leading vehicle finance firm with strategic alliances with global auto, motorcycle and marine brands. We are seeking a People Operations Specialist (for a 9-month term) to assist in delivering HR services, executing processes across the employment lifecycle and provide ad hoc reporting and analytics support to the business. The position works closely with the Head of People Operations and is critical in maintaining operational excellence and ensuring compliance with company policies, legislative requirements and relevant people reporting requirements.

Depending upon performance and business need, the role may be extended or made permanent.

What you will be doing

  • Managing our full employee life cycle processes including onboarding, offboarding and employee transitions, ensuring processes are seamless, compliant and accurately recorded in relevant systems.  This includes new hires' offer letters generation, background checks and onboarding documentation.
  • Serving as a first point of contact for employees, addressing queries related to HR policies, programs and procedures.
  • Supporting probation reviews, performance cycles, remuneration reviews and promotions, ensuring accurate data capture and reporting.
  • Administering and maintaining HR data ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with standard operating procedures.
  • Generating regular and ad-hoc HR analysis reports to support business insights and decision-making.
  • Assisting in reviewing and updating HR policies, procedures and processes, suggesting improvements where necessary.

Who you are – Skills, Experience and attributes

  • Ideally you will have a tertiary qualification majoring in HR, Business, Psychology, Data Analytics or similar discipline
  • Solid experience in employment lifecycle management and HRIS administration, with previous experience using Employment Hero an advantage.
  • Foundational knowledge of Australian employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience working in an HR Shared Services team would be a plus.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with managers and employees at all levels.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong analytical skills to produce accurate HR dashboard and insights using Excel (Intermediate-Advanced) and Power BI; exposure to SharePoint Lists and Power Automate would be highly regarded.
