**Human Resources Coordinator**
Melbourne Grammar School has an exciting opportunity for a HR Coordinator to join our team. This role is key to ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of our HR function while supporting the delivery of the School’s strategic objective: Quality Staff.
The HR Coordinator will play a key role in the recruitment of talent across the School as well as supporting timely service delivery, stakeholder support, and accurate record keeping within a dynamic and collaborative HR environment.
The HR Coordinator collaborates with members of the HR team to deliver all aspects of the employment lifecycle; building positive relationships across our School and bringing our values to life.

Melbourne Grammar has permanent staff of approximately 400 and engages casual staff predominantly in our co-curricular program. As an independent entity, we are responsible for managing our own finances to ensure that we remain soundly placed to carry out our key objective - to provide the highest quality education to our students. The Human Resources Department provides leaders, managers and staff with advice and support across the entire employee lifecycle. Our strong ethos and School values underpins these relationships.
As the member of our Human Resources team, you'll have the opportunity to:
- support and contribute to all aspects of the employee life cycle.
- build strong partnerships with stakeholders and foster a culture of collaboration.
- conduct regular audits of HR data to identify and rectify any discrepancies or errors.
- contribute to HR initiatives and projects.
- prepare HR-related documents, correspondence, and presentations with accuracy and attention to detail.
- engage in ongoing professional learning and development.
- a proactive approach and focus on continuous improvement.
- a solid understanding of HR principles and practices.
- superior interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- systems thinking; a passion for building thoughtful, people-centered HR systems
- critical thinking; the ability to evaluate issues and solve problems effectively
- strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
