Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Analyst to join their centralised Financial Services team
Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality transactional accounting and reporting services to a range of internal stakeholders. This role plays a key part in supporting joint venture accounting across operated and non-operated assets Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparation of monthly Joint Venture expenditure statements and cash call requests.
  • Preparation and posting of actual and accrual journals.
  • Inputting operated and non-operated Joint Venture accounting and providing reports.
  • Efficient generation and input of Sales Invoices.
  • Calculation, lodgement, and payment of monthly Royalties (ORR), Product Royalties and Primary Resource Rent Tax (PRRT).
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare audit data as required.
  • Participate in process improvement projects across Finance
  • Additional activities as required by the Financial Controller
  • Compliance with the Corporate Governance and Safety requirements.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field
  • CPA/CA qualification (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a financial accounting role
  • Strong Fixed Assets experience
  • Strong SAP Finance system knowledge or large ERP experience
  • Advanced Excel skills and analytical capabilities
  • Proven ability to build strong internal relationships and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Immediately available to commence
