Job Title: Leading Telecommunication Rigger
Location: Darwin, Northern Territory
Job Type: Full-Time
Industry: Wireless Telecommunications Construction

What You'll Do

  • Installation of Telstra Satellite Small Cell Sites with Solar. (Steel Plinths & PreCast Concrete Sites)

  • Lead a team of riggers and ground crew in the installation, and maintenance of telecom towers, poles, antennas, lines, and supporting infrastructure.

  • Installing, commissioning and troubleshooting equipment.

  • Ensure all rigging work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with OSHA, company, and customer standards

  • Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues with minimal supervision

  • Lead team to work with cranes, ewps, hoists, winches, and other rigging equipment safely and effectively.

  • Conduct daily site safety briefings, fall protection inspections, and ensure team adherence to all safety protocols

  • Read and interpret drawings, design documentation, product and client specifications

  • Ensure high quality workmanship while maintaining company standards, maintenance service reports, relevant safety and compliance documentation

  • Lead team install/recover of panel antennas, head frames, hybrilflex cables, feeder cables, earthing, cable trays, remote radio units

  • Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other field crews

What You'll Need

  • 3 years of telecom tower climbing and rigging experience

  • Strong knowledge of RF systems, antennas.

  • White Card

  • Current Driver's Licence (4WD experience a bonus).

  • HR Licence (desirable)

  • Ability to work safely and in remote areas.

  • Willingness to travel across the region, including remote sites and islands.
