Job Title:

Electrical Network Operations Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an Electrical Network Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of our electricity network.

  • You will coordinate and monitor field activities in response to planned network outages, fault restoration, and emergencies.
  • Create, check, and approve transmission switching schedules.
  • Ensure the safety of personnel and the protection of assets, while maintaining electricity network reliability.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage service definition/delivery tables for all items relating to the Authority.

Identify, familiarise and conduct regular inspections of all HV electrical assets within the Defence network.

Manage the real-time power system, voltage, perform dispatch, and security functions.

Facilitate operational communication within the team and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Certification as an Electrical Authority Network Controller or equivalent.
  • Current HV switching and operations qualifications.
