About Us:

Newcastle SLSC is an iconic community organisation- the oldest surf lifesaving club in the Hunter region, we've been serving our local community since 1908.

Situated right on Newcastle Beach, our venue is open for public Beachlife sessions every weekend and public holidays, featuring live music, beach eats, and cheap drinks - Beachlife is the perfect atmosphere to soak up the sun, sand and surf

About the Role:

We highly value our staff and offer guaranteed above-Award pay for all positions.

All members of our team are cross-trained to provide service across both bar and floor areas.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high quality and friendly front-of-house service to customers and club members
  • Serving a range of drinks including tap beer, wine and spirits
  • Serving prepared meals and clearing tables
  • Taking orders and processing transactions through our POS system
  • Cleaning and restocking bar/floor service areas and equipment as needed
  • Setup and packdown of the venue

About You:

  • Current NSW RSA
  • Comfortable in a busy, fast paced venue
  • Works well as part of a small tight-knit team
  • Must have weekend and ideally Friday availability
  • Bar experience preferred but not essential
