About the role
ABOUT THE PRACTITIONER ROLE
Deliver in person trauma-informed support to early childhood educators in the Western region of Melbourne, reflective practice, and professional guidance to help build safe, supportive learning environments for children affected by trauma.
Conduct trauma-informed assessments in kindergartens and early childhood education settings, developing and reviewing tailored service plans in collaboration with educators and stakeholders.
Provide recommendations on strategies to strengthen children's emotional and social regulation, pro-social skills, and school readiness, while supporting educators in applying trauma-informed approaches.
Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, working independently to ensure high-quality service delivery aligned with program goals, timelines, and budget.
Support referrals, guiding educators and services in connecting vulnerable children and families with appropriate community, health, and education supports.
Collaborate across sectors, fostering partnerships with schools, allied health, family services, local government, and state departments to enhance support for children and families.
