For more than 25 years, Endeavour College in Mawson Lakes has thrived as a co-educational secondary school, educating young people from Years 7-12 under the umbrella of the Lutheran Church in Australia. About the role

The Finance Manager is responsible for contributing to the mission and strategic goals of Endeavour College by providing leadership and direction in the planning, design, and implementation of financial systems, controls and processes.  They will determine the methods, policies and procedures required to achieve specified outcomes, meet the statutory and financial requirements of Endeavour College's stakeholders and regulatory bodies, lead a high performing team to deliver a comprehensive financial service, and provide support and assistance to the Business Manager as needed.

You must have the following:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications ie Accounting, Financial Management, Chartered Accounting or CPA
  • Current and clearance, Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Current mandatory reporting certificate (Responding to Risks of Harm Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC)
  • Active member of a relevant professional association or committees

Position Description:

About you

You are highly organised, have excellent communications skills and have an ability to build strong relationships with a collaborative environment.  You have a strong understanding, experience and communicating the management of financial policies, financial reporting, budgetary, analytics, cost control, best practice principles processes and positive engagement with people from a wide range of backgrounds.

You will be required to positively lead the Finance team by applying your skills and knowledge with a problem solving and solution focused outcome whilst striving for continuous improvement.
