Part-Time - Finance Manager

12-month Maternity Leave Contract

Work/life balance: approximately 23 hours per week. Monday to Wednesday.

Start date: Monday 22 September 2025. 

Location: CBD setting, North Terrace Adelaide.

About the role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our management team for a 12-month maternity leave contract. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for managing all aspects of the Club's financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Experience in running and overseeing the entire finance function of a business including but not limited to, month-end reporting, year-end reporting, cash flow management, AP/AR, payroll, statutory reporting, and people management. 

• Ability to work with the Finance and Risk Management Committee and attend monthly meetings. Occasionally work with the Board. 

• Good communication skills for internal and external stakeholder management including Members, external auditors, Finance Committee, and the Board. 

• Participation in the continuous improvement, ongoing maintenance, and review of all aspects of financial reporting, financial models and templates and processes, including the updating of relevant policies and procedures.

• Strong, positive and flexible work ethic.

• High level of competence in using Microsoft suite, particularly Excel, as well as demonstrated experience in using various accounting software packages (Micropower desirable but not essential).

About you:

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• Relevant qualifications and experience to assume responsibility for the financial operations of the Club e.g. CA or CPA.

• The ability to communicate key financial information to the Finance and Risk Management Committee and foresee potential risks. 

• A capacity to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

• The ability to interpret and understand relevant accounting standards and tax legislation and knowledge of the legal framework in which finance and tax issues are managed.

• Experience in overseeing the finances and accounting requirements of the Club, including the preparation of necessary financial reports to allow the Finance and Risk Management Committee and management to make informed decisions.

• Knowledge of business cash flow requirements and cash management strategies.

• Proven understanding of GST, FBT and ASIC requirements and reporting obligations.

• Advanced level of competency in the use of Microsoft Suite.

• Exceptional time management skills including task delivery within specified time frames and deadlines.

• Demonstrated high personal motivation.

• Experience in Food & Beverage industries (desired but not essential).

• Experience in Micropower (desired but not essential).
