We are seeking a highly capable Insurance Specialist to take full ownership of regional insurance operations across the Asia Pacific.
Clarity Partners is partnering with a global organisation at the forefront of offshore and subsea operations. Renowned for its innovation, safety culture, and collaborative culture, the company delivers complex marine projects spanning multiple regions.
This is a standalone and autonomous role, requiring initiative and full responsibility for insurance matters across APAC. You will be the subject matter expert for the region, driving insurance strategy and execution in alignment with business and operational needs. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong understanding of operational risk within the Oil & Gas, Marine, or Offshore sectors.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Regional GM HR – Asia Pacific, with a functional line to the Corporate VP of Insurance and Risk (based in Europe).
- Manage all insurance-related matters across the APAC region, including annual renewals of personnel and commercial policies.
- Coordinate and support insurance compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Handle insurance claims from initiation through to resolution.
- Ensure all departments and projects maintain appropriate, fit-for-purpose insurance coverage in line with internal standards and industry requirements.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with external insurance providers and internal stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing and supporting regional insurance budgets.
- Provide expert advice and insights to regional and global stakeholders on risk and insurance matters.
Preferred
- 3–5 years' experience in the insurance field (advising, broking, and/or underwriting), ideally with exposure to Oil & Gas, Offshore, or Marine sectors.
- Strong working knowledge of operational and project-related insurance in the APAC region.
- Tertiary qualifications in Legal Studies, Finance, Risk, or a related discipline.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and take full ownership of your function.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience with multinational insurance programs and claims handling is an advantage.
