About The Role
Tourism Australia is a SaaS-first organisation, operating a modern, fully cloud-based technology ecosystem. We are seeking a dynamic Cloud Platform Specialist to join the Technology team, reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO).

This Level 3 role is accountable for the technical stewardship and continuous enhancement of our core internal productivity platforms, including Microsoft Power Platforms, , and

Your focus will be on driving platform maturity and enhancing business processes, whilst maintaining TA Cyber Framework standards across all services and new deployments.

This is a highly autonomous role requiring a blend of technical expertise, strategic governance, and commercial judgement.

This role is a permanent full-time opportunity based in our Sydney office. You will be responsible for:

  • Designing, building, and maintaining cloud SaaS solutions
  • Defining, delivering, and managing Power Platform's roadmap, focusing on system improvements, ROI, and cost-saving initiatives
  • Assisting with maintaining roadmaps, budgeting, and oversight of day-to-day project activities
  • Consulting with stakeholders to refine processes using application enhancements for continuous business process improvement
  • Troubleshooting and resolving escalated issues and provide advanced knowledge transfer to first-level support staff
  • Liaising with vendors, ensuring service alignment, exploring features, and managing contracts
  • Overseeing project planning task management and ensuring projects align with organisational objectives
  • Contributing to change initiatives and staff adoption efforts for new technologies
  • Monitoring and enhancing application performance including managing application upgrades and infrastructure changes
  • Establishing data governance practices within supported applications, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations

About You

  • Degree in Computing Science, Information Systems or equivalent
  • Experience in Power Platform Admin, Configuration or Functional Consultant
  • Experience delivering projects through a project management framework
  • Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to lead and drive outcomes autonomously.
  • Demonstrated capacity for critical thinking, proactive initiative, and sound commercial judgement.
  • Comprehensive requirements gathering and analysis skills
  • Skilled in drafting procurement documents, vendor evaluations, and contract negotiations
  • Ability to manage time, priorities and communication with stakeholders
  • High level of professionalism, discretion and emotional intelligence
  • Proven experience in strategic project management and organisational skills
  • Experience in vendor relationship and performance management
  • Proficient in resolving complex technical issues and mentoring junior staff
  • Knowledge of the tourism and travel industry or public sector management would be advantageous
  • Willingness to be flexible with working hours as part of a multinational organisation
