About the Role

At Royans Wodonga, you will have the opportunity to apply your existing talents as a fitter/welder. You'll find plenty of opportunities to work both independently and with others, giving you the flexibility to shine on your own and as part of the team. We are committed to workplace safety and high standards, supporting you in achieving your best.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Major & minor accident repair work on trailers
  • Removing damaged panels and parts by unbolting or cutting them away.
  • Using oxy-acetylene and electric welding equipment to cut and join replacement sections or damaged panels.
  • Repairing bodywork on vehicles, filling, grinding and sanding repaired surfaces using power and hand tools.
  • Fabricate and repair framework of vehicles, trailers and equipment using machinery and all types of welding and cutting equipment.
  • Always following Work Health & Safety (WHS) policies and procedures
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop

Your skills & experience

  • Trade qualification or equivalent
  • Heavy vehicle background (preferred but not essential)
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Passion for delivering high-quality workmanship
