DeKort Pumps is a local company based in Wodonga with 35+ years of experience on the Border, specialising in the Design, Manufacture and Installation of Water and Waste Water Infrastructure for Municipal and Industrial Clients throughout NSW, Victoria and ACT.

We pride ourselves in providing quality solutions and customer service to our clients and are looking for an Enthusiastic & Professional Trade Qualified Boilermaker/Welder or Fitter/Machinist (Optional) with preferable experience to join our team.

This position could be well suited to a variety of tradespeople who are looking for an alternate option using their trade skills, with the willingness to learn new skills.

The role is Permanent Full-Time with hours being 7.00am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday.

To be successful in the role and become part of our team you will;

  • Be Physically Fit
  • Minimum 3-5 years Experience in TIG/MIG welding and able to confidently weld Stainless Steel, Mild Steel & Aluminium or, Be a Competent Mechanical Fitter/Machinist (Optional)
  • Have Excellent Attention to Detail. Excellent Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking Skills
  • Ability to Read and Interpret Technical Drawings
  • Strong Attention to Detail and a Commitment to Quality Workmanship
  • Understand & Adhere to WHS Requirement within the Workplace
  • Have OH&S White Card
  • Have minimum Manual Car Licence with preference to hold a current MR Licence or higher
  • Forklift Licence would be beneficial
  • Confined Space Entry ticket would be beneficial, but if not, successful candidate will be required to undertake Confined Space Entry course
  • Ability to Work Independently and as Part of a Team
  • Be Available for Interstate Travel (NSW, VIC, ACT) including Overnight or Occasionally Weekly Stays when Necessary
  • Monthly RDO

This position is one where no two days are the same and we are looking for an All-round Team Member. The job is not necessarily one that sees you doing the same tasks daily, but will incorporate various aspects including fabrication, site installation and repairs and servicing of water assets for our various clients, so if you feel you meet the criteria and are a Trade Qualified candidate with welding/fitter skills, please don't hesitate to apply.
