Are you passionate about research that improves clinical decision-making and patient care? The Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), in collaboration with NSW Regional Health Partners and the University of Newcastle's Joint Medical Program, is seeking a Research Project Support Officer to contribute to an innovative, multidisciplinary research project improving decision-making in emergency care.

About The Opportunity
As the Research Project Support Officer, you will assist with every stage of the research process - from ethics submissions and data collection to report preparation and manuscript development. Working closely with leading clinicians, researchers, and partner institutions you will contribute to research with real-world impact.

What you will do -

Support ethics and governance submissions and ensure research compliance.

Collect, manage, and analyse project data to drive evidence-based outcomes.

Prepare progress reports, manuscripts, and educational materials.

Collaborate across teams within CCLHD and partner organisations to ensure smooth project delivery.

Take initiative, solve problems, and help keep the project on track.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:

Strong organisational and communication skills
, with the ability to coordinate research activities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Experience or a keen interest in clinical or health research
, including data collection, analysis, and preparation of reports or manuscripts.

Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
, ensuring research tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.

Initiative to work independently
while maintaining effective collaboration with investigators, clinicians, and research teams across partner organisations.

Passion for improving patient care and health outcomes
through evidence-based research, innovation, and teamwork.
