North Ward is a 20-bed surgical unit that specialises in plastics, reconstructions, ENT, maxillofacial, ophthalmology and gynaecology. We care for patients requiring major re-implementation of digits, breast reconstruction and grafts and flap management in association with trauma, cancer or wound management. As a small unit, our team prides itself on being able to provide our patients with outstanding care. We are committed to working with you to become your professional best.
We work as a close-knit team with strong value to collaboration, providing support to the wider multi-disciplinary team of our high standard of safety and patient engagement through their journey with us.
Taking a team focus on delivery of care, our primary focus is on a patient’s safe post-operative journey. We have a strong education focus and
**What You Bring**:
Your skills will include, but are not limited to:
- Strong preceptor and mentoring skills
- Ability to deliver direct clinical teaching and support
- Surgical nursing; clinical management of a surgical patient
- Experience with wound, graft and flap management
- Airway management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
**You are also**:

**What you need**:
- Current AHPRA registration
- Proven clinical experience
- Full working rights within Australia
- Current employee Working With Children's Card
- Previous surgical nursing experience
- Post Graduate Certification (desired)
