Cyber Security Engineer/Architect (Security Logging and Monitoring)

Are you a skilled Cyber Security professional looking to help shape and secure complex ICT systems? This 12-month contract role offers you the opportunity to work closely with engineers, architects, and integrators, playing a vital role in the security design, assurance, and delivery of systems in a dynamic environment. Apply your expertise in secure-by-design methods, system hardening, and cloud platforms to influence high-impact architecture decisions.

Location: ACT

Key Duties:

  • Lead and influence security components in solution design alongside architects and engineering teams
  • Provide expert guidance on secure systems implementation, including design documents and patterns
  • Ensure compatibility with established architecture standards, frameworks, and practices
  • Evaluate and assure security documentation in line with Defence Cyber Security Assessment & Authorisation Framework

Key Criteria:

  • Strong knowledge of secure-by-design and secure-by-default principles and application
  • Practical experience with the Information Security Manual and ASD cloud security guidance
  • Demonstrated expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and associated certifications or experience
  • Experience in DevSecOps systems development highly desirable
