The Opportunity

As our Application and Integration Specialist, you'll be at the heart of keeping of our business connected and thriving. You'll champion the performance, reliability, and evolution of our business applications, ensuring every system runs smoothly and every team has the tools they need to excel.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you'll collaborate across all departments, working closely with our internal teams, vendors, and suppliers to deliver seamless integration and smarter business solutions. You'll be the go-to expert for optimising our application landscape, driving innovation, and helping shape the digital future of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to optimise and extend the use of existing business applications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver application enhancements.
  • Manage small application-focused projects, including planning, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Provide Level 2 support for business applications and integrations — troubleshoot, resolve, and triage issues.
  • Coordinate with vendors and third-party providers for support, upgrades, and new implementations.
  • Configure, maintain, and upgrade application systems; document configurations and changes.
  • Develop training materials and knowledge articles to support Level 1 service desk operations.
  • Deliver user training and provide ongoing support to business teams.
  • Ensure compliance with Essential Eight patching and decommissioning requirements.
  • Monitor application performance and recommend improvements.
  • Manage user access, roles, and permissions in line with governance policies.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, security, and data management standards.
  • Support testing, deployment, and change management processes.
  • Undertake other duties as directed by the Head of Information and Technology.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a proactive and solutions-focused technology professional who thrives on improving business systems and driving digital efficiency. You'll bring a blend of technical expertise, collaboration skills, and a passion for delivering practical, high-impact outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience managing and optimising enterprise applications, including configuration and integration.
  • Strong understanding of application lifecycle management and system governance.
  • A track record of delivering process improvements and application enhancements that boost efficiency, data integrity, and user experience.
  • Experience developing and delivering user training, knowledge articles, and system documentation.
  • Solid understanding of software updates, patching, and compliance requirements (e.g. Essential Eight, licensing, and security policies).
  • Hands-on experience with project delivery, testing, and user acceptance (UAT) processes.
  • Excellent documentation, organisation, and communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
